Infrastructure Alternatives has a full-time position for an operations specialist in West Michigan. The position involves operation and maintenance of the City of Grant’s 1.2 mgd, 3-cell Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) plant.
Duties will include: sample collection and laboratory analysis, control of chemical, biological and mechanical processes, tending and maintaining process equipment, maintaining records and reporting, and general housekeeping and grounds maintenance. Successful candidates will have experience that enables them to work independently, and maturity that is demonstrated through a professional attitude toward clients and the public. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends and be on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies on a rotating basis. Candidates must also be able to climb steps, write in logs and reports, bend, stoop, lift and pull (up to 75 lbs.).
The operations require a C Level Wastewater Treatment License. Candidates not holding this license unfortunately cannot be considered. The compensation package will include the IAI benefits program. Selected candidate must live within one hour’s driving distance to The City of Grant.

WATER DEPARTMENT SUPERINTENDENT
The City of Marshall is seeking a Water Department Superintendent. This is the key leader responsible for ensuring a consistently adequate, safe, clean and potable water supply as specified by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment (MDNRE). The successful candidate will have 5-8 years progressive experience in Water Distribution and Treatment as well as the required S-2 and D-2 certification as issued by the MDNRE. CLEAN WATER PLANT DIRECTOR
The City of Three Rivers is hiring for Clean Water Plant Director. This high profile senior level position is responsible for managing and directing all activities associated with the operation of the City’s Clean Water Plant. Specific areas of responsibility include all waste water treatment operations, all industrial pre-treatment programs and residuals management programs, all related maintenance operations, all related municipal budgeting operations and compliance with all regulatory operations and requirements. The individual in this position will also function as a laboratory director and be responsible for certifying all drinking and waste water analysis.
This position requires a related degree with emphasis in chemistry, environmental science or biology and a minimum of five years experience in managing a CWP operation. Candidates must have strong management and supervisory skills, outstanding written and verbal communications skills, a solid working knowledge of computers and related business software programs, strong delegation and organizational skills, a proven record of goal oriented project accomplishment and effective long-range planning skills. Candidates must also have specific working knowledge of MDNRE regulations and requirements. Additional requirements include a Storm Water Management Industrial Site A-11 Certification and a Class B MDNRE Wastewater Operators License.
